Position and Label Alignment Inspection
Verify label, print and logo position with angular tolerance.
When the product is right but the label is in the wrong place, the customer reads it as a quality fault. Misalignment, however, is a measurable geometry problem.
The system first finds the product reference frame, then computes the position and rotation of the label, print, brand or cap relative to that frame. Tolerance is defined in millimetres and degrees; because the direction of the shift is stored too, it is immediately clear on which axis of the labelling machine the error arises. Correction becomes a targeted adjustment rather than trial and error.
How it works
The product frame is found
Body edges or a fixed marker act as reference; position is measured relative to the product.
Shift and rotation
Label centre offset and rotation angle are computed; direction information is retained.
It becomes a machine setting
When a systematic shift is detected, an adjustment alert is raised for the labelling machine.
Is the misalignment random, or is it coming from a machine setting?
The shape of the distribution tells the cause: a symmetric scatter points to feed vibration, a mean shifting one way points to a machine setting. Without that distinction the same fault repeats in every batch; with it, a single adjustment closes it for good.
| Shift right | 42% |
| Shift left | 19% |
| Shift up | 16% |
| Shift down | 13% |
| Angular rotation | 10% |
The dominant rightward shift points to a sync lag between the labelling head and conveyor speed; after the sync adjustment the distribution becomes symmetric.

Frequently asked questions
How does Position and Label Alignment Inspection work?
When the product is right but the label is in the wrong place, the customer reads it as a quality fault. Misalignment, however, is a measurable geometry problem.
Are our existing cameras suitable for this solution?
Required camera specification: Triggered global shutter camera; 2–4 views depending on line speed. Before installation we assess your camera inventory free of charge and report which points are suitable and, if needed, which camera should be added.
What results and indicators does it provide?
Key indicators: Position tolerance: ±0.3 mm; Angular tolerance: ±1°; Inspection at line speed: 120 items/min. The dominant rightward shift points to a sync lag between the labelling head and conveyor speed; after the sync adjustment the distribution becomes symmetric. Thresholds are calibrated on your own site during the pilot.
Which systems does it integrate with?
PLC output, reject pusher, MES record. Events are published over REST API and MQTT, so it connects to your existing MES, ERP, VMS and alarm infrastructure.
Is it compliant with KVKK, Türkiye's data-protection law?
Footage is processed on an edge server inside your facility; raw video is not sent to the cloud. Facial recognition is not used; analytics outputs are anonymous and event clips are deleted automatically when the defined retention period ends.
