Queue & Checkout Management
Route staff the moment the queue threshold is passed.
A customer who abandons a basket and walks out never appears in any report. The lost sale happens in the third minute at the till and leaves no trace.
The system continuously measures the number of people and the waiting time in front of the till; when the defined threshold is passed, a till-opening or staff-routing alert is sent. Measurement moves decisions on till count and shift planning from instinct to data.
How it works
Queue length
The number of people waiting in front of the till is measured per zone.
Waiting computed
Queue entry and till exit are matched to derive waiting time.
Threshold alert
When the threshold is passed, the store manager and staff are notified.
The threshold between waiting time and abandonment
Every store has a tolerance threshold beyond which abandonment rises sharply. Once it is measured, opening a till stops being a debate: the cost of extra staff and the value of the lost basket sit in the same table.
| 0–1 min | 2% |
| 1–2 min | 5% |
| 2–3 min | 11% |
| 3–5 min | 24% |
| 5 min + | 33% |
Three minutes is the clear breaking point; the goal of queue management is to stay below that band.
| W1 | 186 |

| W4 | 151 |
| W5 | 142 |
| W6 | 133 |
| W7 | 126 |
| W8 | 123 |
The improvement came with no new till investment — purely from the timing of staff routing.

Frequently asked questions
How does Queue & Checkout Management work?
A customer who abandons a basket and walks out never appears in any report. The lost sale happens in the third minute at the till and leaves no trace.
Are our existing cameras suitable for this solution?
Required camera specification: Angle covering the till area and the queue space. Before installation we assess your camera inventory free of charge and report which points are suitable and, if needed, which camera should be added.
What results and indicators does it provide?
Key indicators: Target waiting time: <3 min; Threshold breach alert: Instant; Average wait in pilot: −34%. Three minutes is the clear breaking point; the goal of queue management is to stay below that band. Thresholds are calibrated on your own site during the pilot.
Which systems does it integrate with?
POS, workforce planning software, BI. Events are published over REST API and MQTT, so it connects to your existing MES, ERP, VMS and alarm infrastructure.
Is it compliant with KVKK, Türkiye's data-protection law?
Footage is processed on an edge server inside your facility; raw video is not sent to the cloud. Facial recognition is not used; analytics outputs are anonymous and event clips are deleted automatically when the defined retention period ends.
